Danielle Armstrong

2nd Generation Pilates Instructor Romana Kyrzanowska (2002), Lolita San Miguel Master Instructor and Lolita's Legacy Educator (2014).

Danielle Armstrong grew up in Western New York and began dancing at the age of 4.  She is an honors graduate from The State University of New York at Purchase College where she received her BFA from the Conservatory of Dance and was first introduced to The Pilates Method.  Upon graduation she moved to New York City where she worked with many freelance choreographers and started her own dance group exploring her own choreography.  Danielle began teaching modern dance and rehearsing at Peridance Center and performed with her company throughout New York City.

In 2002 she completed over 600 hours of teacher training and became certified through Pilates Inc. under the direction of Joseph Pilates protégé Romana Kyrzanowska as well as Ton Voogt and Michael Fritzke.  Danielle began teaching in the New York/Connecticut area continuing her practice through mentors such as Sari Mejia Santo, Bob Leiken and Mejo Wiggin.  Danielle later opened her first studio in Norwalk, CT in 2005.

Since moving South, Danielle  taught in the Charleston area of South Carolina and moved to Florida with her family in 2009.  She has taught dance and Pilates throughout South Florida including the Harid Conservatory and in 2011 she opened Classical Pilates at The Florida School for Dance Education.  Shortly after Danielle met Lolita San Miguel, one of two people to receive a certificate of certification from Joseph Pilates, they formed a partnership.  In 2014 she completed Lolita's Pilates Master Mentor Program and was selected to teach Lolita's Legacy, a teacher training program developed by Lolita.  In addition, Danielle is the co-founder and co-director of The Dancers’ Space and is a soccer mom to her two children Nathan (11) and Amelia (7).  Inspired by Lolita’s 58 years of Pilates practice,  Danielle recently re-named the studio PILATES LIFE, and is proud to be the home of Lolita’s Pilates Center.
